No More [Financial] Secrets

Advancing women’s equality through economic empowerment

NOT-SO-SECRET RESOURCES

Secret U is our educational platform designed to support young women at the very start of their independent financial journeys, by providing them with the foundational tools needed to succeed today, and in turn, improve their financial wellness. Secret’s Financial Empowerment Library offers worksheets and video tutorials.

Finances are a leading stressor for women, particularly impacting Gen Z and Millennial women(1). Women of color face intergenerational and systemic barriers that create even greater financial stress. Ultimately, women who are financially empowered will be able to utilize resources to reach their full (financial) potential.

Secret is encouraging women to think about their financial well-being by sparking a conversation about financial literacy and education. Our mission is to increase access to financial training resources that will help young women feel emboldened to pursue a stress-free financial future. By 2030, Secret will empower millions of young women to tackle financial stress and, in turn, improve their financial wellness. We will forge a path to equitable wealth for all women by starting the conversation about finances.

OUR MISSION

Since its inception, Secret has addressed the inequities women face with the hope to help ignite change so that future generations of young girls don’t have to sweat the same obstacles. We believe that financial literacy is a critical part of women’s equality, and that when women are financially empowered, they are able to reach their full (financial) potential. Secret is on a mission to help women take control of their financial well-being and feel emboldened to pursue a stress-free financial future by increasing access to educational resources.

By 2030, Secret will empower millions of young women to tackle financial stress head-on, leading to improved financial and overall wellness.

MEET BERNA ANAT

FINANCIAL EDUCATOR & HYPEWOMAN

Berna Anat is an author, producer, rich unmarried auntie and Financial Hype Woman. After slaying her $50,000 debt, she saved up to quit life and has dedicated her time to making financial education less male, pale and stale for young BIPOC everywhere. Berna is the host and producer of the Money Please podcast with Betches Media and her debut book, Money Out Loud will be available on April 25th.

Money Out Loud is all the stuff no one taught you about money. In this illustrated, deeply unserious guide to money, debut author Berna Anat—aka the Financial Hypewoman—freaks out her immigrant parents by doing the unthinkable: Talking about money. Loudly. Because we’re done staying silent, anxious, and ashamed about our money. It's time to join the party and finally learn about all the financial stuff that always felt too confusing.

To support the financial education of young women of color and encourage them to talk (loudly) about money, 2,500 copies of Money Out Loud will be distributed to non-profit organizations, compliments of Secret Deodorant.
